How does your specific non-tech expertise add value to your org?

My background is a business background, including specifically finance. Most space startups today are still led by founders trained on the engineering side of space, who are capable to deal with the technological challenges, but usually lack sufficient business skills to build a company. That is where I come in as a value-added investor.

What ambitions do you have for your space career?

Space technology and applications can do so much to improve life on Earth. If I can help bring about and/or accelerate some of these use cases, it will be a great outcome already. This is what I'm trying to do both at my space venture fund (E2MC) as well as, more specifically, at Prometheus Life Technologies, a space biotech startup. Furthermore, I am also trying to help this process in general through my space education and outreach activities, such as teaching courses offline and online, my podcast, and my book.
