Why we exist
If you're a satellite engineer or a rocket propulsion specialist, finding a job in the space industry is relatively straightforward. Job boards, LinkedIn, and company career pages are full of technical roles. But what if you're a marketing strategist, a finance director, a legal counsel, or an HR professional — and you want to build your career in space?
Those roles are harder to find. Not because they don't exist — they do, in growing numbers — but because the space industry has never had a dedicated place to surface them. Until now.
What we do
We Work in Space is a curated job board for non-technical roles in the space industry. We bring together open positions across marketing, finance, legal, HR, business development, operations, policy, communications, and more — from startups launching their first satellite to established players shaping the future of space exploration and commercialisation.
Alongside the jobs, we publish interviews with people who have already made the leap — real stories from professionals working across the sector, sharing how they got there and what the work is actually like.
The bigger picture
The space economy is growing fast. New launch providers, satellite constellations, in-orbit services, lunar programmes, and space tourism ventures are all scaling up — and scaling up requires business talent, not just engineering talent. Legal teams to navigate regulation. Finance teams to manage capital. Marketing teams to build brands. Operations teams to keep everything running.
We believe that making these careers more visible and accessible is good for job seekers, good for space companies, and good for the industry as a whole. A stronger, more diverse talent base makes the space sector more resilient and more capable of delivering on its extraordinary potential.
