ATMOS Space Cargo is seeking a Legal Counsel (m/f/d) to support the company across corporate governance, commercial contracts, compliance, employment law, and legal advisory to internal stakeholders. In this hands-on role, you will work closely with leadership, Finance, People Operations, Engineering, Procurement, and external counsel to provide pragmatic, business-oriented legal guidance in a fast-moving aerospace and space technology environment.
Key responsibilities - You will support corporate governance and legal entity management, including board resolutions, shareholder documentation, entity records, powers of attorney, and intercompany agreements - You will draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, including supplier contracts, customer agreements, NDAs, partnership and service agreements - You will advise leadership and internal teams on legal risks related to business decisions, contractual obligations, liability exposure, dispute prevention, and operational execution - You will monitor and coordinate regulatory and compliance topics relevant to the business, including data protection, export control, sanctions, anti-bribery, anti-corruption, and regulatory requirements relevant to aerospace and space activities - You will develop scalable legal processes, templates, playbooks, approval workflows, and contract management standards, while coordinating external counsel where needed.
Profile required - Law degree and admission to practice in at least one relevant jurisdiction, preferably Germany and France, or another EU jurisdiction - Relevant experience in a law firm, in-house legal department, or a combination of both - Strong experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts, including supplier, customer, partnership, service, and procurement agreements - Solid understanding of corporate governance, compliance, employment law, and data protection topics, with the ability to coordinate specialist external counsel when needed - Pragmatic and business-oriented working style, with strong judgement, high integrity, discretion, and the ability to explain legal topics clearly to non-legal stakeholders
Preferred qualifications - Experience as a first or early legal hire in a start-up, scale-up, or high-growth company.
