As a (Junior) Staff Accountant, you are part of this foundation. You will support our team in Berlin with various tasks in accounting, administration, and controlling – from invoice verification and issuance to accounts receivable and payable management, as well as participation in monthly closings. In this way, you contribute to ensuring that our missions are successful not only in space but also in the numbers and processes on the ground. Your tasks As an all-round accountant, you will take on various tasks, work independently and supportively in the areas of accounting, administration, and controlling: (Preliminary) accounting & booking runs: accounts payable, accounts receivable, banks; Incoming invoices: preliminary accounting, verification; Outgoing invoices & accounts receivable management: invoice creation, customer communication, dunning, posting as well as clarification of open items and reconciliation of accounts receivable; Travel expenses & credit cards: control and billing; Account reconciliation & master data maintenance including user support; Support in monthly closings in collaboration with external accounting service providers; Setting up and executing payment runs; Participation in reporting & evaluations; Process and policy development; Support in the introduction of new software/systems.

Your profile Completed studies or vocational training in the commercial field; (first relevant professional experience is an advantage.) Secure German and English language skills, both written and spoken. Strong ability to organize, work in a structured and independent manner. Proficient use of MS Office (especially Excel). Motivation, flexibility, and an energetic 'hands-on' approach – even under time pressure.
